Ingredients of Mediterranean Fish Pie

  1. It's to taste of Salt.
  2. Prepare 1 of round sheet of puff pastry.
  3. You need 400 g of ricotta cheese (cream).
  4. It's 4 of small eggs.
  5. Prepare 150 g of small prawns cooked or uncooked.
  6. It's 150 g of sword fish (salmon or cod).
  7. Prepare 50 g of sundried tomatoes.
  8. Prepare 50 g of unsalted peeled pistachios.
  9. It's 50 g of stale bread or breadcrumbs.
  10. It's of Juice of 1 lime or lemon.
  11. You need of Chopped chives.

Place optional shrimps between fish rolls. Provencal Topping: Mix all ingredients except oil/butter. Cover the fish with Provencal topping. Drizzle with oil or sprinkle with butter flakes.

  1. Marinade the prawns in the lime juice for at least 30 mins. In a chopper, whizz up tomatoes, pistachios and bread.
  2. In a bowl mix the ricotta and chives. Add the beaten eggs, saving some for glazing the pastry. Mix very well.
  3. Add tomato mixture and mix. Drain prawns add them and the fish, salt to taste. Mix well..
  4. Put the pastry in a round baking tray and blind bake at 180 for 5-10 mins. Add mixture. Turn down the edges. Glaze with egg and decorate with sliced sundried tomatoes if you wish. Bake until golden brown, about 40 mins. Serve lukewarm or even cold :).

Serve with buttered boiled potatoes sprinkled. Distribute olives and tomatoes over the casserole. Add the prawns and coat in the juices, pour this into your pie dish and add the tinned tomatoes, peas and fish mix. For an extra crunchy topping add breadcrumbs and Parmesan on top. Add onions, celery, and a little salt and pepper (about ½ tsp each).
