  1. You need 1 tbsp of dry yeast.
  2. It's 3/4 cup of warm milk.

  1. In a bowl, pour warm milk and dry yeast. Leave it seating for 10 minutes..
  2. In milk and yeast add egg, sugar, water, shortening, and half of the flour. Mix WITH HANDS..
  3. Add salt as desired and add the rest of the flour. Mix with hands until ingredients are well mixed..
  4. In a clean surface, add some flour and bring dough to the surface. Knead the dough until it doesnt sticks to your hands and/or surface..
  5. Put the dough back to the bowl and cover the bowl with some plastic. Let it sit in room temperature for two hours..
  6. After two hours, or until dough is double its size, bring dough to floured surface and knead it a little bit more..
  7. Cut the dough in half and put one half of the dough back to the bowl. Roll the dough and cut out the donuts. Do the same with the other half..
  8. let the donuts sit for about an hour..
  9. In a pan, add enough vegetable oil for the donuts to float in. Set it in medium..
  10. fry the donuts so that they are golden brown on both sides.
  11. in a plate, mix sugar and cinnammon as desired..
  12. roll the donuts in sugar mix..
