Recipe: Delicious Tuna-Veggie Casserole
Tuna-Veggie Casserole. A Savory Side That Your Guests Will Love. This casserole was delicious, used fresh vegetables I had on hand, and went together very quickly. I topped the casserole with French fried onions.
Cook noodles according to package directions. Not a bad recipe - pretty much your basic tuna casserole. - It's 1/3 bag of of elbow noodles..
- You need 1/3 of red onion..
- It's 1 of Frozen peas to taste.
- You need 2 can of tuna..
- Prepare 2 of stock green onion.
- It's 1 of Baby spinach.
- Prepare 1/3 stick of of white cheddar cheese.
- You need 1/3 jar of of Alfredo sauce.
- Prepare 1/2 of red pepper..
- You need 1 of Salt and pepper to taste..
I also used frozen veggies instead of canned. The comforting flavors, affordability and convenience. Tuna Casserole is right up there with meatloaf and scalloped potatoes when it comes to comfort food. It's been a family favorite for generations!
Tuna-Veggie Casserole step by step
- Dice up all the veggies except the spinach..
- Boil the noodles and frozen peas until they're almost done. (If you're using canned peas, just open and drain the can.).
- Open and drain the tuna..
- Mix together the noodles, tuna, Alfredo sauce and veggies (except the spinach) in a deep casserole dish..
- Cover the mixture with baby spinach. Top that with grated cheese..
- Bake in the oven for 40 minutes. Enjoy hot or cold..
Flaky tuna is tossed with egg noodles, peas, celery, and mushroom soup. We top this with a buttery breadcrumb topping and bake it until it's bubbly. Cook and drain pasta as directed on package. Meanwhile, microwave vegetables as directed on package. Combine the cracker/cornflake crumbs and butter until well-mixed.
