Instead of frying our hot wings, I actually make oven baked hot wings. I like making baked chicken wings because when you fry them in oil it adds a ton of fat. I bake my hot wings by using a baking rack so this way the fat drips from the wings onto the baking sheet.

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375°F..
  2. Cut wings, throw away the tips..
  3. Melt butter in microwave..
  4. Mix cayenne powder, chili powder, garlic salt, onion powder, hot sauce, and tomato soup in with the melted butter..
  5. Marinade the chicken wings in a bag for at least 2 hours..
  6. Place foil onto a baking sheet (makes cleaning much easier) then spray with cooking oil..
  7. Place wings on baking sheet, bake for 45 minutes..

I still make the hot sauce just like my dad. Place pan of wings in oven. If desired, flip the wings and return to oven to brown the bottom sides. Toss wings in hot sauce if desired. Crispy Oven Baked Hot Wings Ingredients.
