In a large bowl combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until well combined. This apple cake recipe is very similar to this Apple Crumb Cake recipe I shared last year. Except, this one is drizzled with my favorite salted caramel syrup. Anything salted caramel is my current obsession.

  1. Prepare the baking pan by greasing with some butter & lining with the parchment paper & set aside for the time being... Also, sift well- all the Dry Ingredients together & keep aside in one bowl.
  2. In a mixing bowl: Take the measured butter & sugar & mix well with a hand/electric blender.
  3. Add in the egg & blend again- In between, scrape gently the sides of the bowl with a spatula and blend further until smooth & creamy texture’s formed, also add into it the vanilla essence, at this point.
  4. Now, add in the already sifted Dry Ingredients & mix everything gently with the very CUT & FOLD method, until well combined together but add that in batches & not everything in one go.
  5. Do not over-mix at any point & do it with gentle strokes...Now, pour in the batter in the already prepared baking pan & then, layer the same with the apple slices & put it in the preheated oven for the given time(aforementioned) or until the skewer checking test, comes out absolutely clean.
  6. We’re all set now...to dish out our freshly baked APPLE ALMONDS-WALNUTS CAKE after it’s completely cooled down-garnish...slice’em up & simply GRAB.

After one bite of this yummy apple cake, I knew it was a winner. But, our course I had to have another slice just to be sure. These salted caramel apple cupcakes are your classic caramel apple in a cupcake form. Starting with a perfectly spiced apple cake that's moist and fluffy with bits of apple in the cake, it is topped with a silky smooth swiss meringue buttercream infused with some caramel. Old is gold because this recipe is my all time favourite when my mother cooked & now I cooked for.
