Recipe: Delicious Moist Baked Donuts

Moist Baked Donuts. Donuts are just plain fun to eat. Whether is the yeasty kind, old-fashioned cake kind, or these light and baked kind. But there is something about these baked chocolate donuts that take me back to my easy-bake oven days and I'm a sucker for any food that gives me feel-good, childhood nostalgia.

Moist Baked Donuts I mix up either a powdered sugar glaze or a chocolate icing to top these with. They can also be rolled in cinnamon and white sugar, but it doesn't stick very well. My husband likes them just plain. You can have Moist Baked Donuts using 9 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you achieve it.

Ingredients of Moist Baked Donuts

  1. Prepare 1 of Egg.
  2. You need 30 grams of Granulated sugar.
  3. It's 10 grams of ○Skim milk powder.
  4. It's 2 tbsp of ○Milk.
  5. It's 1 tbsp of ○Vegetable oil.
  6. Prepare 40 grams of ☆Cake flour.
  7. You need 10 grams of ☆Almond flour (or cake flour).
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp of ☆Baking powder.
  9. It's 1 of few drops Vanilla extract (optional).

Their moist, fluffy crumb is similar to that of cake or muffins. Leavened with baking powder and/or baking soda, they're typically fried, but can also be baked.. A baked donut cuts down on the fat associated with fried donuts, but still has a similar enough taste and texture to the fried ones to be a scrumptious stand-in. Just use a light flour and a high-fat liquid and you can satisfy your donut craving.

Moist Baked Donuts step by step

  1. Crack the egg into a bowl and add the sugar. Mix well until it turns pale..
  2. Add the ○ ingredients and mix until smooth and even. If you have it, add about 5 drops of vanilla essence..
  3. Sift the ☆ into the batter and mix well..
  4. Fill the baking molds with the batter. Bake in an oven preheated to 180℃ for 10 -15 minutes (mine took 13 minutes)..
  5. Once baked, let cool in the mold. Once completely cooled, remove from the mold..

The ingredients are similar to my favorite-ever chocolate cupcake recipe (although, without the chocolate), so as many baked donuts, this recipe is more on the "cake" side than the "deep-fried doughnuts" side of things. It's moist inside with a light crust outside, without being too heavy. While doughnuts are still warm, roll them in melted butter; then in cinnamon sugar. With traditional O-shaped donuts, a non-stick baking donut pan can come in really handy. If you're making donut holes , you can bake those on a regular sheet pan or in a mini-muffin tin.
